A healthy diet is essential for quick recovery after an operation or quick healing of an injury. Calories, proteins, vitamins and some types of minerals should be taken in high doses. For protein, take lean chicken, fish, eggs and all kinds of pulses. The minerals present in the vegetable help to heal the wound quickly and the fiber in it prevents constipation.

Iron-rich greens, rajma, black beans, and fenugreek should be eaten frequently. Fruits that are rich in energy and antioxidants should be consumed at least twice a day. Lemon and orange juices rich in Vitamin-C should be taken to prevent re-infection of the wound. A good diet along with proper rest for the body gives a better chance of a quick recovery.
