Diabetes and food : To reduce blood sugar levels.. Try these foods..!

Blood sugar levels should be reduced from time to time. Otherwise its effect is seen on other organs. Eating certain foods can help keep blood sugar levels under control.

Diabetes.. joins us silently and suffocates us. Once we get infected with it, it stays with us for the rest of our lives. No treatment is available to prevent it. However, dietary changes can be controlled by adding supplements. Nutritionists say that there are opportunities to keep blood sugar under control by focusing on certain foods.

Those who are already suffering from diabetes know what kind of food to eat and how much to eat. Controlling diabetes is in our hands. To control sugar levels, sugar and processed foods should be avoided. Make sure to fill the meal plate with healthy alternatives. Diabetes occurs when blood glucose or sugar levels are too high. So to keep sugar under control, help of foods should be taken. Focus on foods that help prevent sugar spikes.

Sugar does not come like this..
In fact, the body does not get sugar by consuming sugary products. The body gets sugar from every food including pulses, roti and vegetables. To keep blood sugar under control, eat foods rich in omega-3 fats such as salmon, flaxseeds, soybeans, beans, eggs, and legumes. Eat whole grains like brown rice, rolled oats, barley. Almonds, sesame seeds, raw coconut, watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts, pistachios should be eaten more. People with low blood sugar levels should consume foods, drinks, juices, honey etc. that contain natural sugars. Plan to drink a lot of water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated.

These are not to be eaten..
Foods like roti and pasta made with white maida flour should be avoided. Don’t touch the fats that are digested late and end up in the blood. Carbs like rice, idli, upma, white rice, maida flour, uppa rice should be avoided. Avoid animal foods and fatty dairy foods. Avoid heavy cream, whole milk, curd, pastries, milk and white chocolate, toffee, biscuits, cakes and puddings. Also, don’t eat fried chicken, nuggets, pizza, burger, french fries which contain trans fats.
