BP and Diabetes : How will one country improve if there are people like diabetics and hyper blood pressure victms. It is a poetic arrow that a poet Mahasaya put on the back. If he ever writes.. it will be enough for the current situation. Because there is no physical activity like before. No patience to take four steps. No traditional food. Without non veg, there is no lump. Life doesn’t go on without partying on the weekends. Having said that, there have been many changes. According to those changes, diseases are on the rise. This has led to the fact that one in two people have symptoms of hypertension and one in three have symptoms of diabetes. If this situation continues like this, it will not only be number one in world population but also number one in diseases.

11.4 percent with diabetes..

11.4 percent of the Indian population is suffering from diabetes. Another 35.5 percent suffer from hypertension and 15.3 percent suffer from pre-diabetes (pre-diabetes) in a joint study conducted by Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF) and ICMR researchers. It is noteworthy that this study was conducted with funds provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India. They published details of their research in The Lancet Diabetes-Endocrinology journal. In the study conducted by us in 2021, we found that a total of 10 crore people in India are suffering from diabetes, 13.6 crore people are suffering from pre-diabetes and 31.5 crore people are suffering from high blood pressure (BP). There are 25.4 crore obese people in the country. Diabetes in India was 7.5 percent in 2017. Since then, it has increased by 50 percent. These diseases are likely to reach their peak in the next five years. After that, it will decrease again. As part of the study, we conducted a survey on 1.1 lakh people between 2008 and 2020. At the same time, 81.2 percent of people had an imbalance of cholesterol and triglycerides (dyslipidemia),” the researchers revealed.

Obesity is a major problem

Many interesting things have come to light in the survey done by these researchers. Obesity is on the rise, especially among young people. They are becoming obese due to constant working in AC room, sitting in front of computer and lack of physical activity like taking four steps. In addition to this, the fats in their body are increasing due to consuming more meat in the diet. Ultimately this leads to diabetes and hypertension. The fact that type one type is seen in the diabetic cases that are coming to light makes the doctors worried. They are worried that due to this, the body will quickly become dull and there is a possibility of problems that cannot be solved by long-term use of medicines.

What is the solution?

Every disease has a solution. It is in our hands. What we eat reflects our health. Especially if the human body does not exercise, the fats in the body will be lost. These ultimately lead to the body. In order to deal with such problems early, meat consumption should be reduced. Use of salt should be controlled. Physical activity should be given more priority. Walk about five to seven kilometers a day. Drink pure water. Make sure that the food you eat is high in fiber. Fresh vegetables are even better for the body.
