The three key acupressure points that can help alleviate constipation. Constipation is a widespread issue caused by factors such as excessive consumption of processed and refined foods, insufficient fluid intake, lack of fiber, and more. It’s crucial to address it promptly to prevent further complications.

Our primary goal is to stimulate peristalsis, the wave-like movement in our intestines that aids in the swift passage of digested food, preventing it from becoming harmful to the body. I’ve identified three simple acupressure points on your hand and forearm that can help, especially for those dealing with constipation.

1.First Point: Locate the V-shaped crease between your first and second fingers. Move down the bottom of this crease, and you’ll find a tender point. Use your thumb to apply pressure to this point for 30 to 60 seconds.

2.Second Point: Create another V-shaped space, this time between your second and third fingers. Take the index finger of your opposite hand and run it along the inside of the second finger until you can’t go any further. Apply pressure to this specific point for 30 to 60 seconds.

3.Third Point: Flex your arm so that your forearm meets the inside of your upper arm. Move outward from the inside until you reach the end of a crease, which typically falls about here. This is the point you want to stimulate. Open your arm up and apply pressure to this area for 30 to 60 seconds.

I recommend stimulating both sides to maximize the impact. The more we activate our central nervous system through these acupressure points, the better the results in alleviating constipation.
