Children in growing age eat more or less than they need because they do not pay attention to the food because they watch the TV or phone. They do not even show enthusiasm to eat proper nutrition. It is very important to eat on time without distraction. In the morning you can give some breakfast like a cup of milk, an egg, idli, dosa etc. Give 5-6 almonds and walnuts as a snack. In the afternoon it is good to have greens, dal, and rice as a meal, and in the evening as snacks, it is good to give pulses, peas, lentils, groundnuts, marmaras, and pastes. It is beneficial to have some curry, curd or buttermilk with light rice or chapati at dinner too. If desired, another fruit can also be eaten at this time. Snacks made of oil, biscuits, chocolates, chips, cool drinks, ice creams etc. should be given only once or twice a month.
