Whey protein is made from the liquid left over from milk when making things like paneer, cheese etc. Only a few whey proteins from trusted brands are of good quality. Whey protein is useful for energy and muscle strength due to its easy digestibility and absorption properties.

Although it comes from milk itself, the quality of whey proteins available in the market varies depending on the changes in manufacturing methods. Whey protein intake along with a balanced diet is useful for those who do not get enough protein through normal nutrition, those who need to consume more protein and calories due to any illness, sportsmen who do a lot of physical activity, exercisers, etc. Before starting any such supplements it is better to consult a doctor or nutritionist about their necessity.
